FIRE! |

| A critical
part to the fire jump was fire, obviously. But how did we do it?
We toyed with the idea of blowing various things up, but quickly
discarded those ideas. We turned instead to digital fire, none of
which would have been possible without AlamDV 2. If you have any
interest in awesome effects for an amateur budget, check out fxhome.com
for more details on AlamDV, as well as their line up of other programs.

| Back
to business. For this movie, here's what we did. First, we rendered
the individual explosion effects that are available through FXhome.com's
site. Each explosion was rendered against a black background, then
layered together during video editing. Each layer had the black
either keyed out or made neutral. |

|
A
single explosion, before being layered. |

|
|
| And
finally another single explosion |
|
|
| After
many singles were composited together, they were rendered as a single
element, which can be seen as part of the final compositing used
in the overall Fire Jump. |
